Empowering Bekaa’s Green Guardians for a Sustainable Tomorrow

Michel Daher Foundation, through the Faker Bi2iyan initiative, has made significant strides in promoting responsible waste management in the Bekaa Valley. In collaboration with Australia’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) through the Direct Aid Program (DAP), the foundation reached over 800 students and young people in seven schools and three universities with engaging workshops, competitions, and awareness sessions on waste sorting and climate change.

But education was just the first step. The program conducted 4 clean-up campaigns to actively improve environmental conditions. Furthermore, 22 strategically placed recycling bins in Zahle, Ferzol, Kaa El Rim, and Riyak ensured convenient access to recycling services and fostered environmental responsibility.

This initiative exemplifies Michel Daher Foundation’s unwavering commitment to a sustainable future. By empowering individuals with knowledge and fostering environmental values, we’re not only creating a cleaner present but also paving the way for a brighter tomorrow.
