The Australian Ambassador, Mr. Andrew Barnes, accompanied by Political Affairs Officer, Mr. Ban Craig, visited Michel Daher Social Foundation (MDSF), where they were warmly welcomed by MDSF President, Mrs. Marleine Daher, along with several staff members.
During their visit, the Australian representatives gained valuable insights into the foundation’s key initiatives and programs. They also reviewed highlights of the DAP project, funded by the Australian Embassy, which focuses on promoting environmental sustainability in the region.
Following this, Mrs. Marlene Daher accompanied the delegation on a visit to AUST University, where they met with Dr. Charbel Boustany, Head of Student Affairs and the Computer Science Department, along with other esteemed faculty members. Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration in various fields.
The delegation also visited the Antonine School in Zahle, where they met with Sr. Roula Karam, Sr. Sayde Bissari, and several administrative members, as well as representatives of environmental clubs from both the school and university.
The visit concluded with a meeting with MP Michel Daher, where discussions focused on strengthening the partnership between Lebanon and Australia to support social and developmental initiatives. The Australian representatives expressed their admiration for MDSF’s impactful work, highlighting the success of their ongoing collaboration and reaffirming the Australian Embassy’s commitment to supporting projects that benefit the Lebanese community.
