Michel Daher Social Foundation continues to implement its initiative, “Water for the Land of Water” project, aimed at improving both the quality and availability of water services in Jdita and the surrounding areas
As part of its ongoing efforts, the project team visited six municipalities in the region (Zahle – Maallaka & Taanayel, Jdita, Saadnayel, Taalabaya, Chtaura, Mekse), to present the progress achieved so far in the Jdita water station and to confirm that these improvements will also benefit the surrounding areas connected to the water network.
This initiative is already yielding significant results, including improved water extraction, reduced operational costs, increased energy efficiency, and enhanced maintenance practices. These developments are contributing to a more sustainable and reliable water service across the targeted areas.
This initiative is implemented in collaboration with the Bekaa Water Establishment, under the Shabake2 project. It is supported by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the Centre de Crise et de Soutien (CDCS) and implemented by Expertise France.
