Since the launch of our Faker Bi2iyan Facebook page in 2019, which introduced the 7Rs of Refuse, Reduce, Repurpose, Reuse, Recycle, Rot, and Rethink – we have been met with overwhelming engagement and success. Within three years, our awareness campaigns gathered over 3,500 participants, mobilized 80+ volunteers for clean-up and tree-planting drives, and convinced more than 1,500 homes in 28 municipalities to adopt waste sorting and recycling.
With the constant support and overwhelming engagement of the Bekaa community, we are looking forward to the future of Faker Bi2iyan. We remain dedicated to taking additional environmental action, from piloting new green initiatives to launching more awareness campaigns, all aimed at inspiring individuals to join us in our mission for a greener future.

Our mission extends far beyond highlighting the consequences of human negligence. What truly sets us apart is our commitment to offering concrete solutions and celebrating the remarkable eco-friendly strides made, particularly by our community’s resilient women, dynamic youth, and children.
Would you believe that ‘Faker Bi2iyan’ embarked on its journey as a humble Facebook page? Delving into issues like Climate Change, the 7Rs, Composting, and much more, we struck a chord with countless individuals, exponentially expanding our reach and resonance. Between 2019 and 2023, we hosted an impressive 30 online awareness sessions, engaging over 900 participants in enlightening dialogues and transformative discussions.
At Faker Bi2iyan, we believe that small actions can lead to significant change. That’s why we’ve introduced “Sorting for a Cause” as a way to make recycling personal and impactful.
When you take the simple step of sorting your waste, you’re doing much more than just disposing of trash. You’re becoming a champion for a noble cause. Each year, the proceeds from recyclables are dedicated to supporting critical social missions that truly matter:
The Eco-Friendly Hero isn’t just a program; it’s a movement. Tailored for school environments and recreational settings, its primary aim is to instill genuine environmental ethics in children and youth. Going beyond the realm of theoretical knowledge, we aspire to nurture participants to embrace a value system that shapes their daily choices, actions, and broader life perspectives.
Faker Bi2iyan is a driving force when it comes to environmental action. We work hand in hand with youth groups, local organizations, and community centers to organize clean-up and planting campaigns across various regions.
Between 2019 and 2023, our efforts resulted in an impressive 40+ clean-up campaigns conducted in small and large localities within the central Bekaa region. During these campaigns, more than 2000+ young individuals joined forces, collectively picking up 53+ kilograms of litter.
Here’s a snapshot of our accomplishments:
At Faker Bi2iyan, we believe in the power of individuals to bring about positive change in their communities. That’s why we’ve established our Environmental Volunteering Program, designed to engage and empower youth and women to become agents of change.
Here’s what our program aims to achieve:
Over the past few years, we’ve successfully gathered a dedicated group of 80 youth and women volunteers from different regions of central Bekaa. Together, we’ve embarked on numerous initiatives that have left a lasting impact on our environment and society.
Our Green Neighborhoods initiative is a testament to our commitment to fostering environmental responsibility within local communities. This program was conceived as a way to reward and support neighborhoods that pledge to take recycling and waste sorting seriously.
Here’s how it works:
The results have been remarkable. This program has been successfully implemented in 2 neighborhoods in the Bekaa region, making a substantial impact:
These neighborhoods have not only embraced sustainability but have also become models of eco-conscious living. Together, we’re making our communities healthier, cleaner, and more vibrant.
Faker Bi2iyan truck hits the roads from Monday to Friday, crisscrossing the Central Bekaa region to collect recyclables from a wide array of sources. Whether it’s a household, a restaurant, a gym, a business, a pharmacy, or an industrial facility, we’re here to pick up your recyclables.
But that’s not all. We go the extra mile by providing sorting bins for neighborhood blocks, schools, and large facilities, ensuring that recycling becomes an integral part of the community. On average, we collect a remarkable 3 tonnes of recyclables every month and looking forward to double this amount next year.
Join us in making recycling an everyday reality.
At Faker Bi2iyan, we recognize the pivotal role that businesses and NGOs play in shaping a more sustainable future. That’s why we’ve developed the Green Office Program, a comprehensive training initiative designed to empower organizations with the tools and knowledge they need to integrate sustainable practices into their daily operations.
